Cannot be beat on security.
A window is only as secure as its weakest component. A great lock on a flimsy frame fails. A strong frame with removable glass fails. A reinforced hinge with a single-point lock fails. Our Full Security Window is engineered so that every component works as part of a system, and every component is independently tested to PAS 24, the UK enhanced-security standard specified by Secured by Design and required by Approved Document Q on all new-build homes. Most existing homes have none of it. Every window we fit has all of it.
Rehau Profile
The frame that everything else bolts to.
The profile is the skeleton of the window. If it flexes under attack, every lock, hinge and glazing clip fitted to it becomes easier to defeat. A cheap, thin-walled profile bows under a crowbar and lets the bolts pop out of the keeps. A rigid, reinforced profile holds every locking point exactly where it was engineered to sit, and the burglar walks away.
We build every Full Security Window on Rehau. Rehau is a German engineering company, founded in 1948, and their uPVC profiles are the most widely specified system in the UK for a reason: they are engineered to a higher tolerance than the mass-market alternatives, and their security testing is documented and independent. We are an Authorised Rehau Partner, which means the profile you get from us is the genuine article, not a cheaper look-alike.
What that means in practice
- Multi-chambered construction — Multiple internal air chambers inside the profile, each one adding rigidity and thermal insulation.
- Steel reinforcement — Galvanised steel inserts run through the frame and sash, giving the profile the structural strength of a metal window with the thermal performance of uPVC.
- PAS 24:2022 certified — Independently tested to the current UK enhanced security standard for windows.
- BSI Kitemark to BS EN 12608 — Certified for material quality, weather resistance and dimensional stability. The Kitemark is only awarded after ongoing audit, not just one-off testing.

Multi-Point Shoot Bolt Locks
Eight steel bolts, one window, no single point of failure.
Standard casement windows are locked by a handle that operates two or three cam locks: small plastic or die-cast mushrooms that rotate into a keep on the frame. Burglars know exactly how to defeat them. A crowbar wedged next to the handle, a firm pull, and the cams either shear off or the profile flexes enough for them to slip past the keeps. It takes seconds and it's silent.
Our Full Security Windows are fitted with multi-point shoot bolt locks. Instead of two or three plastic cams, up to eight non-croppable steel bolts shoot out of the sash and into hardened keeps set into the frame. The bolts engage at multiple points around the sash, spreading any attack load across the full perimeter of the window rather than concentrating it at one weak point.
The technical spec
- Up to 8 locking points per sash — More points, more force required, more time for the attack to fail.
- Non-croppable design — Standard shoot bolts can be cut through the gap between sash and frame using long-nose bolt croppers. Non-croppable bolts are shaped so the tool can't grip them.
- Tested to over 6,000 Newtons of force — More than double the load required to pass PAS 24. A burglar can't put 6,000N through a crowbar without the tool itself failing first.
- Anti-separation on all three planes — Front-to-back, side-to-side, and up-and-down. Whichever direction the attack comes from, a bolt is holding the sash to the frame.
- Adjustable mushroom cams — On top of the shoot bolts, providing additional anti-separation resistance and compression adjustment.
- 50,000 cycle endurance tested — And 240-hour salt spray corrosion tested. The locks work on day one and they still work in year twenty.
Every bolt has to fail for the window to open. Not one, not two: every one.

Hinge Guards
Closing the gap burglars love.
Look at any window from outside when it's closed. You'll see a fine gap between the sash and the frame all the way around, including on the hinge side. That gap exists because the window has to open, and it's the point where almost every forced entry attack begins. A screwdriver, a small crowbar or the flat of a chisel goes into that gap on the hinge side and gets levered outward. Standard hinges are not engineered to resist that. Once the sash lifts off the hinge stubs by a few millimetres, the locks on the other side have nothing to hold against and the whole sash pops out.
Hinge guards close that gap mechanically. Every Full Security Window is fitted with anti-jemmy claw hinge guards: high-tensile steel brackets that lock the hinge side of the sash to the frame independently of the hinge itself. If a burglar tries to lever the sash away from the frame on the hinge side, the claw physically stops the sash from moving.

Most window companies rely on the hinge to hold the hinge side of the sash to the frame. We don't. We assume the hinge might fail, and we build in a second line of defence that operates independently.

GT Snap-Lok Glass Retention
Because the glass is easier to remove than the locks.
Here is a technique most homeowners have never heard of, and every experienced burglar has. On a standard uPVC window, the glass is held in place by a plastic beading strip clipped around the inside of the sash. Attack that beading from outside with a chisel and it lifts off. The whole sealed glass unit can then be pushed inward, taken out cleanly, and the burglar climbs through the empty frame. The locks are still locked. The hinges are still intact. The window was never forced. And the intruder is inside your home.
GT Snap-Loks are what stop that. GT Window Products is a specialist UK manufacturer of window security components, based in the UK since 1993, and their Snap-Lok system is the industry benchmark for glass retention. Every Full Security Window we fit has multiple Snap-Loks fitted between the sash and the sealed glass unit. If the external beading is removed, the Snap-Loks hold the glass in place. It cannot be pushed inward and it cannot be pulled outward.

Secure Glazing Bracket
Our own invention. A second line of glass retention.
The Snap-Lok is the industry-standard answer to glass removal, and it works. But we saw it working and asked a simple question: what if we added a second, completely independent system doing the same job from a different angle? A burglar defeating one glass retention system is unlikely. A burglar defeating two, fitted in different places on the same window, using different mechanical principles: that is what we set out to make impossible.
The result is our patent-pending secure glazing bracket. Developed and tested by our own glazing specialists here in the North East, the bracket is fitted internally alongside the Snap-Loks and adds a further mechanical anchor between the sealed glass unit and the frame. It's a belt-and-braces approach: two independent glass retention systems on every window, from two different manufacturers, using two different fixing methods.

Laminated Glass on Low-Level Glazing
The glass that holds together when everything else says it should have broken.
Even with every lock, hinge guard and glass retention system in place, a determined burglar's last resort is to break the glass and reach through. On standard toughened glass, that works: one firm strike with a hard object and the entire pane shatters into small pebbles, leaving a clear opening. The noise is brief and the entry is instant.
Laminated glass changes that outcome. Every Full Security Window includes laminated safety glass as standard on every low-level opening: any pane within reach from ground level, garden furniture, a bin, a wall, or any other climbable feature. Two panes of float glass are bonded together with a tough plastic interlayer (PVB), and when the outer pane is struck, the interlayer holds every fragment of glass in place. The glass cracks, but it does not fall out. There is no clean opening, no reachable hole, and no fast entry.

- BS EN 356 Class P1A certified as standard — The same security glazing rating required by Approved Document Q for the front doors of new-build homes across England.
- 6.4mm laminated construction — Two 3mm float panes plus PVB interlayer as standard, with a P2A upgrade available in 6.8mm for even higher impact resistance.
- Same construction used in car windscreens — Anyone who has seen a smashed windscreen knows: it cracks, it webs, but it does not fall out. That is the property we want on your ground-floor windows.
- 99% UV filtration — The interlayer blocks almost all ultraviolet light, protecting carpets, curtains and furniture from fading.
- Acoustic damping — The interlayer significantly reduces external noise: traffic, wind, neighbours.
- Meets the glazing element of Approved Document Q — The security requirement placed on all new-build homes in England since October 2015. Most existing homes have never had glass of this specification fitted.

It changes the way a window fails under attack.
Laminated glass is two panes of float glass bonded by a tough polyvinyl butyral (PVB) interlayer. When the outer pane is struck, the glass cracks but the interlayer holds every fragment in place. There is no clean hole to reach through, no easy opening to climb into, and the noise of repeated attacks draws attention long before entry becomes possible. Standard toughened glass, by contrast, drops out of the frame in a single hit and leaves a clear opening.
