Every J&J Hunter Brothers window can be fitted with Hammerglass, a nano surface-treated polycarbonate panel that replaces standard glass. It looks identical from outside, but an 8mm Hammerglass pane matches the protection of 24mm armoured glass. A baseball bat, an axe, a kick: none of it gets through.

No. Hammerglass is a nano surface-treated polycarbonate panel. It looks and behaves like glass in normal use, but its composition is what gives it the impact resistance standard glass cannot match.
The nano surface treatment is specifically designed to resist scratching and UV degradation. Hammerglass is built for long-term outdoor exposure and maintains its appearance under normal conditions.
Minimal difference in most configurations. The g-value varies depending on which system you choose, but the visual clarity is comparable to standard glass in everyday use.
Hammerglass is compatible with most standard uPVC and timber window frames. We confirm compatibility on a case-by-case basis during a visit.
Yes. The Insulate system combines a Hammerglass outer pane with standard inner panes to deliver both security rating and thermal performance in a single sealed unit.
